Abstract:

A buckling restraint brace having an L-shaped energy-dissipation element, comprising a stretchy inner restraint component (1), an outer restraint component (2) fitted over the inner restraint component (1), and the L-shaped energy-dissipation element located between the inner restraint component (1) and the outer restraint component (2). The inner restraint component (1) comprises a first square steel pipe (1-1) and a second square steel pipe (1-2) which are connected in an inserted mode. The L-shaped energy-dissipation element comprises four L-shaped core boards (3); two ends of each of the four L-shaped core boards (3) are respectively connected to four right-angled edges of the first square steel pipe (1-1) and the second square steel pipe (1-2) by means of bolts. The outer restraint component (2) wraps the L-shaped energy-dissipation element, and a gap is formed between the outer restraint component (2) and the L-shaped energy-dissipation element. Also provided is a building comprising the brace, and an assembling method for the brace. The brace can be simply removed and replaced and easily reused.
