Abstract:
Provided is an environmentally-friendly building design method such that in designing a building, height-wise upper or lower ends of substantially effective areas (working areas) of exterior members which are called siding and account for a relatively high cost percentage are taken as reference lines for deciding positions for installing not only a low-positioned window, a balcony, and eaves, but also a front door etc.; and that thereby it is possible to perform efficient design and construction, and also to minimize material remnants which are generated. Also provided is a building which can be constructed at low cost. In constructing a building (1), lower limit positions or upper limit positions of locations for mounting the low-positioned window (11), the eaves, the balcony, the front door, and a parapet are decided in such a way that upper or lower ends of working areas of the exterior members (13a - 13l) which have a specific shape and are to be constructed into the outer walls of the building (1), are taken as reference lines.
