Title:
BUILDING-INTEGRATED SOLAR PHOTOVOLTAIC PANEL CONNECTING BOX
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2011/016636
Kind Code:
A2
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a building-integrated solar photovoltaic (BIPV) panel connecting box and aims to overcome various problems which occur with prior-art soldering connection methods when busbars provided on solar photovoltaic panels (power generation modules) are to be installed connected to building-integrated solar photovoltaic (BIPV) panel connecting boxes; to which end working convenience and efficiency are increased not only by effecting a particular improvement to the construction of the contact terminals, which are provided coupled to the inside of an outer insulating case, including by employing an arrangement in which the contact terminals are open topped and have a busbar-insertion hole formed on one side of the floor surface and also have a stopper formed projecting from an inner wall surface, but also by adopting rotating securing pieces employing another arrangement in which the securing pieces are hinge coupled to the floor surfaces of the contact terminals inside the contact terminals and rotate to left and right, such that selective rotation of the securing pieces to left and right ensures that the busbars of the solar photovoltaic panel, which have been inserted into the contact terminals via the busbar insertion holes of the outer insulating case and the busbar-insertion holes of the contact terminals, are provided securely by being pressed into close contact against the inner walls on one of each of the sides of the contact terminals. The building-integrated solar photovoltaic (BIPV) panel connecting box of the present invention for achieving the abovementioned aim comprises: an outer insulating case (100) in which the inside of a basically open-topped and closed-bottom insulating body (110) is formed with at least one pair of terminal-coupling parts (120) having busbar-insertion holes (121) integrally provided at the bottom, and is formed with cable-connecting parts (130) which are connected to contact terminals (200) which are coupled to the terminal-coupling parts (120) towards the ends on both sides of the insulating body (110); contact terminals (200) of a metal material, which are provided inserted in the terminal-coupling parts (120) of the outer insulating case (100) in a state in which they are respectively coupled to leads on both sides of a diode (150), and which are open topped and have busbar-insertion holes (210) formed on one side of the floor surface and also have a stopper (220) formed projecting from an inner wall surface; and securing pieces (300) which are hinge (310) coupled to the floor surfaces of the contact terminals (200) in a state in which they are provided inserted inside the contact terminals (200), and which rotate to left and right and, as they do so, ensure that the busbars (11) of the solar photovoltaic panel (10), which have been inserted into the contact terminals (200) via the busbar insertion holes (121) of the outer insulating case (100) and the busbar-insertion holes (210) of the contact terminals (200), are provided securely by being pressed into close contact against the inner walls (201) on one of each of the sides of the contact terminals (200).
