Abstract:
Provided is a building equipped with an indoor cooling function that is low in cost and excellent in terms of durability. In this building 1, windows 20U, 20L, which are for allowing infrared radiation to pass therethrough, are installed in an upper section and a lower section of a wall 2 which forms one room. The infrared radiation transmissivity of the window 20U, which is at the higher position, is higher than the infrared radiation transmissivity of the window 20L, which is at the lower position. An increase in the temperature of the room is suppressed by allowing far-infrared radiation FR emitted from members that constitute the room to pass through the window 20U, which is at the higher position, and be emitted into space, and by suppressing the amount of infrared radiation IR that is emitted from the outside and enters the inside of the room by utilizing the window 20L at the lower position.
