Abstract:
In this bulk component feeder, whereby components in bulk state are supplied sequentially one-by-one to a component supply position, a case 70 housing the components is provided with: an exit hole 110 communicating with a transit passage 76; a guide groove 90 guiding the components to the exit hole 110; and means for causing a magnet 96 to move along the guide groove in order to transport the components through the interior of the guide groove to the exit hole, while also rendering suitable the direction of a magnetic field caused by the magnet for attracting the component. Specifically, a portion 132 comprising a strong magnetic material is provided in the vicinity the exit hole, for example. The portion causes the direction of the magnetic field from the magnet to be in a direction that suppresses the adoption of a standing orientation by a component being transported through a position preceding the exit hole. In addition, magnetically polarizing the magnet in the extending direction of the guide groove can also render suitable the direction of the magnetic field and suppress the adoption of the standing orientation by the component.
