Abstract:
Provided is a bumper reinforcement structure such that if a collision load is input into the front of a vehicle from the vehicle forward side and the vehicle upper side, it is possible to secure a deformation stroke with respect to a colliding body, said deformation stroke being in the vehicle vertical direction in the vehicle front portion. Said bumper reinforcement structure (30) is provided with a bumper reinforcement (12); an upper member (14) which is formed to have a C-shaped cross section that opens in the vehicle downward direction, and which forms a closed cross-sectional portion (74) on the upper side of the bumper reinforcement (12) in terms of the vehicle directional coordinate system; bolts (64) which fasten together a rear side panel section (36) of the upper member (14) and a rear side wall section (46) of the bumper reinforcement (12); and a fastening structure (72) which comprises relief holes (58B) that are continuously formed in the vehicle upward direction, starting at the positions of the bolts (64) in the rear side panel section (36).
