Abstract:
A bumper reinforcement (14) which is disposed in the width direction of a vehicle body at the front or the rear of the vehicle body of a vehicle. The bumper reinforcement (14) is equipped with an elongated body member (20) having an M-shaped open cross section and including outside wall portions (24), inside wall portions (26), and top panel portions (22). The body member (20) opens inward in the longitudinal direction of the vehicle as seen from the passenger compartment of the vehicle. The bumper reinforcement is equipped with reinforcing members (32) which are provided along the outside wall portions (24) on both sides of the body member (20), the reinforcing members (32) being located at the center of the elongated body member (20).
