Abstract:
The present invention relates to a buoyancy generating device and, more particularly, to a buoyancy generating device comprising: a partially open chamber having a predetermined space thereinside to receive air; a variable member coupled to an upper end or an inner side of the chamber to expand the inner space of the chamber when the air is received and contract the inner space of the chamber when the air is discharged; a connection pipe which is connected to the inner space of the chamber, which is submerged under water, and the atmosphere above the water's surface, and provides a passage for drawing air in the atmosphere into the chamber or exhausting air in the chamber to the atmosphere; at least one first opening and closing valve, coupled to an upper end of the connection pipe, for preventing the air in the chamber and the connection pipe from communicating with the outside air to maintain a negative pressure in the inner space of the chamber, and operating the variable member by switching to a positive pressure when the valve is released. Therefore, provided is a buoyancy generating device, in which when air flows into the chamber, the density of an object becomes smaller than the density of a fluid such that the object rises toward the water's surface due to the buoyancy generated, and when the air inside the chamber is discharged such that the total density of the object becomes greater than the density of the fluid, the object descends under water due to gravity.
