Abstract:
The invention relates to a burner having surface combustion and comprising a housing (12) which has a feed inlet (16) for a fuel-air mixture upstream of a combustion side and has a woven membrane (29) downstream on an exit side. The woven membrane (29) is designed as a strip and the length (L) of said membrane is a multiple of the width (B). The burner also comprises a flame backflash barrier (24) located upstream of the woven membrane (29), the latter (29) having a hole grid pattern consisting of at least one row of through-holes (34). A retaining device (28) is provided, said device holding the woven membrane (29) at a distance from the flame backflash barrier (24) or with the interposition of a spacer element (30).
