Abstract:
A burner has a combustion head (10), an igniter, a fuel delivery/adjustment device (12), a combustion air delivery/adjustment device (14), a safe operation monitoring device, and an electronic control device (16). The combustion air delivery/adjustment device (14) is provided with an air flap mechanism (143) controlled by an air flap actuator (145), and an inverter (147) for controlling the rotation speed of a blower motor (142), and is provided with a displacement sensor (146), linked with the air flap actuator (145) and for controlling the output frequency of the inverter (147). A program controller (160) of the electronic control device (16) instructs the air flap actuator (145) to control the opening degree of the air flap mechanism (143) according to the requirements of a combustion load. The inverter (147) adjusts, according to a signal with respect to the opening degree of the air flap mechanism (143) and detected by the displacement sensor (146), the frequency output to the blower motor (142) so as to control the rotation speed of the blower motor (142). By combining the speed control achieved by changing the frequency and the adjustment of the air flap, the power adjustment range of the burner can be extended.
