Abstract:
In this button cap manufacturing method, a perforated portion, which passes in the thickness direction completely through to the other side, is provided along the shape of a character by etching in a metal cap main body. A recessed portion, which is recessed along part of the shape of the character, is provided in the cap main body by half-etching, whereby connecting portions are formed that support island areas surrounded by the character. By insert molding, the perforated portion and the recessed portion are filled with a resin.
