Abstract:
A button-side die (30) is provided with: a punch body (50) which moves between a standby position and a button attaching position at which the punch body (50) stakes a protrusion (22); a press-in body (41) which receives the punch body (50) and to which the movement of the punch body (50) is transmitted through a transmission member (60) to enable the press-in body (41) to move in the same direction as the punch body (50); an elastic body (60) which is disposed within the press-in body (41) at a position between the first receiving section (53) of the punch body (50) and the second receiving section (43) of the press-in body (41); an engagement section (70) with which the press-in body (41) is engaged in order to maintain the elastic body (60) in a compressed state; and an unlocking mechanism (44a) which unlocks the press-in body (41) from the engagement section (70). The unlocking by the unlocking mechanism (44a) allows the elastic body (60) in the compressed state to extend and cause the press-in body (41) to move toward a button attaching position faster than the punch body (50), thereby causing the protrusion (22) to penetrate through cloth (1).
