Abstract:
A button-type secondary battery of the present invention may comprise: a jelly roll-type electrode assembly formed by winding an electrode and a separator; a can for accommodating the electrode assembly and connected to a first electrode tab of the electrode assembly; a base plate coupled to an open end of the can to seal the can; an electrode terminal configured to pass through a through-hole of the base plate to be connected to a second electrode tab of the electrode assembly; and an insulation gasket for insulating the electrode terminal from the base plate. The open end of the can includes a (1a)th inclined surface inclined with respect to the inner surface thereof, and a (1b)th inclined surface inclined with respect to the outer surface thereof and having the upper end connected to the upper end of the (1a)th inclined surface, and the edge area of the base plate includes a (2a)th inclined surface inclined with respect to the bottom surface thereof and in close contact with the (1a)th inclined surface, and a (2b)th inclined surface inclined with respect to the top surface thereof and having the lower end connected to the upper end of the (2a)th inclined surface.
