Abstract:
A button type secondary battery according to the present invention comprises: an electrode assembly formed by alternately arranging an electrode and a separation membrane; a can body in which the electrode assembly is inserted; a base plate, which has a through-hole formed therein, covers an upper opening of the can body, and is coupled to the can body; an electrode terminal, which has at least a part inserted into the through-hole of the base plate and covers the through-hole; an insulation gasket for providing insulation between the electrode terminal and the base plate; an insulation sheet which is located on the lower surface of the base plate, and provides insulation between the base plate and the electrode assembly; and a shield member located at the upper end of an edge part of the electrode assembly.
