Abstract:
A button comprising button main frame (10,10a,10b) and prong (20,20a,20b) disposed
so as to have cloth (30) interposed between the same and the button main frame and
to fix the button main frame to the cloth from the side opposite to the button main
frame, wherein the button main frame includes outer shell member (13) composed
of button back (15,15a,15b) and cap (14,14a,14b) and includes insert (11,11a,11b)
housed in the interior of the outer shell member. In order to obtain a white button
that has been obtained only by plating, at least the button back is fabricated
from aluminum or an aluminum alloy. Preferably, the button back consists of
an aluminum alloy containing 3 to 6 mass% of magnesium, and the thickness of section
of the button back is in the range of 0.25 to 0.6 mm. Further, it is preferred that
the cap and housing member be also fabricated from an aluminum alloy.
