Abstract:

[Problem] The objective of the present invention is to provide a cable assembly that can be easily produced while allowing the intrinsic impedance in a protruding extremity portion of a first wire from a cable to be decreased, and to provide a cable assembly production method. [Configuration] The cable assembly A1 comprises terminals 400a, a cable 100, and a conductive member 200. The cable 100 has an outer insulator 110, a shielded conductor 120 disposed within the outer insulator 110, and a first wire 130a, which is at least one signaling wire disposed within the shielded conductor 120. The first wire 130a has a protruding portion Pa protruding from the shielded conductor 120 and the outer insulator 110 in the Y-Y' direction. A core wire 132a of the protruding portion Pa is connected to the terminal 400a. The conductive member 200 is a conductive plate or a conductive tape wound around at least a portion in the Y-Y' direction of the protruding portion Pa.
