Abstract:
This cable assembly is provided with an inner cable, an outer casing through which the inner cable is inserted, a cap member provided on an end portion of the outer casing, a bracket with which the cap member engages, and an urging member which urges the inner cable, wherein: the cap member includes a tubular cap main body having an accommodating space for internally accommodating the urging member, and an engaging portion which engages with the bracket; the bracket includes an engaged portion which engages with the engaging portion of the cap member; the urging member includes a connecting portion which is connected to the inner cable via a first seat of an attachment seat; the engaging portion of the cap member deforms in the circumferential direction of the cap main body to transition between a normal state and a deformed state; and the engaging portion of the cap member engages with the engaged portion of the bracket by the engaging portion of the cap member transitioning from the deformed state to the normal state; and employing this cable assembly enables the cap to be fixed to the bracket easily, using a simple construction.
