Abstract:
The invention relates to a cable and belt which are intended for lift speed limiters and to the associated pulleys. The inventive cable comprises high-strength steel wires which are grouped into strands which together form a core. The core is completely coated with a polymer material which is introduced into the cavities between the aforementioned strands, such as to produce an outer polymer surface having a diameter that is slightly greater than that of the core. According to the invention, the belts combine at least two metal cables comprising high-strength steel wires which are completely coated with a polymer material. The pulleys designed for said cables are semicircular or semicircular and equipped with a notch, having a reduced diameter, low aggressiveness and good adhesion, such as to provide a high coefficient of friction between the coated cable and the pulley, thereby conferring on the cable its high resistance to fatigue caused by bending and wear.
