Abstract:
A cable box designed so that even if put in a situation where a high load is imposed on a power cable for hours to cause abnormal heating, a synthetic resin inner pipe will not deform, having no danger of adversely affecting an information transmission cable stored in the lower side. The cable box has, within a quadrangular metal pipe (10), laterally disposed heat radiation plates (11, 12, 13, 14) of metal and a longitudinally disposed partition plate (15), the ends with which the heat radiation plates (11, 12, 13, 14) are in contact with the metal pipe (10) and with the partition plate (15) being integrally formed, thereby dividing the inside of the metal pipe (10), with quadrangular synthetic resin pipes (16, 17a, 17b, 18a, 18b) being superposed in the resulting divisions, the heat radiation plates (11, 12, 13, 14) being positioned on the bottom surfaces of the synthetic resin pipes (17a, 18a) storing the power cable.
