Abstract:
A cable-connector enclosure assembly (1) comprises: first and second housings (2, 3) each including a first side (4) and a second side (5) extending in the longitudinal direction of the first and second housings (2, 3), wherein the first sides (4) are pivotably connected together, and the second sides (5) are adapted to be in contact with each other so that a cable receiving space extending in the longitudinal direction is formed between the first and second housings (2, 3), and wherein each of the second sides (5) is provided with a guide rail (7); and a clamp member (8), including a guide groove adapted for being inserted onto the guide rails (7) to clamp the contacted second sides (5) closely. The width of at least a portion of at least one of the guide rails, and the width of a corresponding portion of the guide groove are gradually increasing in an inserting direction (A), and the increasing amount of the width of the guide rail(s) is equal to that of the width of the corresponding portion of the guiding groove. With the cable-connector enclosure assembly according to the present invention, the operation of inserting the clamp member onto the guide rails is simplified and a close contact between the first and second housings is obtained.
