Abstract:
In this invention, when crimping a crimp section (71) of one shell (60) onto a cable (5), even if a pulling force is exerted on the main body (42) of the other shell (40) through a sandwich section (43) sandwiched between the crimp section (71) and the cable (5), the risk of pulling the main body (42) per se of the other shell is lowered, preventing the other shell (40) from becoming deformed or broken. The invention comprises a housing (20) for holding one end of the cable (5) and a first shell (60) and a second shell (40) which each have a main body covering at least a portion of the housing (20). The first shell (60) comprises the crimp section (71) to be crimped onto the cable (50). The second shell (40) comprises the sandwich section (43) to be crimped, along with the cable, by the crimp section (71), in a sandwiched state between the crimp section (71) and the cable. The sandwich section (43) and the main body (42) of the second shell are connected through an extra length section (47) that is extensible in least an axis line direction.
