Abstract:
The present invention relates to the field of cable installation. Specifically disclosed is a cable extension method. A margin pipe is provided; when a cable is laid, the margin pipe is installed between two adjacent brackets where a cable margin needs to be reserved, the margin pipe abuts against the cable, and the position of the margin pipe in a vertical direction is adjusted to implement adjustment of the reserved cable margin; after the cable is laid, the margin pipe is removed. In the present invention, a corresponding cable margin is reserved during a cable laying process to satisfy requirements on a cable expansion and contraction during quantity ship deformation and requirements on the expansion and contraction quantity during thermal expansion and cold contraction of the cable, so that the ship satisfies the requirements of a classification society after the cable is laid.
