Abstract:
This cable manipulation mechanism (S) is provided with a manipulation cable (4) having one end anchored to a manipulation member (2), a first cable (51) having one end anchored to a first operation member (31), a second cable (52) having one end anchored to a second operation member (32), and a cable joining device (6) joining the manipulation cable (4) to the first cable (51) and to the second cable (52), wherein the cable joining device (6) includes: a connection member (63) which connects the other end of the manipulation cable (4) to the other end of the first cable (51); a flexible manipulation force transmitting member (65) which has one end thereof connected to the other end of the manipulation cable (4) and which has the other end thereof connected to the second cable (52); a direction changing member (66) which changes the direction in which the manipulation force transmitting member (65) extends; and a storage member (60) which stores therein at least the connection member (63) and the manipulation force transmitting member (65), whereby the degree of freedom in the layout of members other than the cable manipulation mechanism is enhanced.
