Abstract:
A cable (20) is provided with a cable body (24a), a fitting (22a) which is affixed to at least one end of the cable body, and a coating (32a) which at least covers a portion of the surface of the cable body, the portion being not covered with the fitting. The cable body (24a) has a swollen section (30a) swollen in the direction perpendicular to the axis of the cable and provided at an end of the cable body (24a), the end being located on the side to which the fitting is affixed. The fitting (22a) surround the periphery of the swollen section of the cable body. An end of the coating, the end being on the side to which the fitting is affixed, is located within the fitting. A gap (a) is formed between the swollen section of the cable body and the end of the coating.
