Abstract:
This cable comprises: a transmission medium which is composed of a conductor or an optical fiber; and an insulating layer which covers the transmission medium. The insulating layer comprises an outermost layer and an inner layer that is provided inside the outermost layer; and the outermost layer contains a base resin and a flame retardant. The flame retardant contains: inorganic particles, which are composed of at least one kind of particles selected from the group consisting of calcium carbonate particles and silicate compound particles; a silicone compound; and a fatty acid-containing compound. The insulating layer has a specific gravity of from 0.84 to 1.04.
