Abstract:
A cache and disk management method is provided. In the cache and disk management method, a plurality of member disks are sent a deletion command either for all valid data stored in cache or for some specific data from among the valid data. Ultimately, either all valid data or specific data exists only in cache, and is deleted from the plurality of member disks. Consequently, more space is acquired for the plurality of member disks, overheads stemming from internal duplication can be reduced and, more particularly, solid-state disks can achieve better performance.
