Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to provide a caffeine-containing colorless transparent drink from which caffeine-derived bitterness is less perceived without impairment of smooth tastes and refreshing flavors. According to the present invention: at least one saccharide selected from the group consisting of glucose, fructose, and sucrose, and at least one acid selected from the group consisting of citric acid, malic acid, tartaric acid, phosphoric acid, lactic acid, and gluconic acid are blended in a colorless transparent drink that contains caffeine in an amount of 0.1-60 mg/100 mL; the acidity of the drink is adjusted to 0.04-0.31 g/100 mL; the weight proportion of the contained amount of the saccharide with respect to said acidity is adjusted to 16-250; and an alcohol having two or three carbon atoms is blended in the drink.
