Abstract:
A new cage (1) for bearing and a bearing are provided. The cage (1) has a plurality of dimples (11d) formed on a portion of the outer circumferential surface of the cage (1). The dimples (11d) are formed to be spaced from one another to distribute evenly in the circumferential direction and each has a predetermined dimension, so that a dynamic pressure region (1D) is formed in the region having the dimples (11d). Thus, after oil from the interior of the gearbox enters each of the dimples (11d), the oil in each of the dimples (11d) is sprayed toward an outer side in the radial direction along with the rotation of the cage (1) and collides against the outer ring (2). By such collision, a repulsive force between the outer ring (2) and the cage (1) increases. Therefore the violent collision between the cage (1) and the outer ring (2) is prevented. Thereby, the risk of the cage (1) to be damaged or to have a temperature increase due to collision with the outer ring (2) is eliminated, or at least is lessened.
