Abstract:
The cage rotor (1) of the present invention has: a rotor core (2) formed by the lamination of a plurality of sheet steel laminate cores, and having a plurality of slots (7) extending parallel to each other; a plurality of metallic rotor bars (5) respectively passing through the plurality of slots (7), and being longer than the length of the slots being passed through; and two end rings (3, 4) respectively provided on the both ends of the rotor core (2) in the direction of extension of the plurality of slots (7), said end rings (3, 4) short circuiting the plurality of rotor bars (5). The cage rotor (1) is characterised by the end rings (3, 4) being formed by spraying a solid-phase metallic material powder for forming the end rings (3, 4) on to the aforementioned ends at a temperature below the melting point of the solid phase metallic material powder by using heated compressed gas.
