Abstract:
A cage (1, 1') for a thrust bearing, comprising an inner curled edge (11, 11') located radially inward, an outer curled edge (12, 12') located radially outward, and an intermediate part (13, 13') therebetween. The intermediate part (13, 13') forms a plurality of pockets for mounting rolling bodies (2) of the thrust bearing. At least one of the inner curled edge (11, 11') and the outer curled edge (12, 12') has formed therein notches (1C, 1C') that run through the axial direction (A) of the cage (1, 1') and change the radial size of the cage (1, 1'). A thrust bearing comprising the described cage (1, 1') increases the amount of lubricating oil entering and exiting the thrust bearing during operation of the thrust bearing.
