Abstract:
This cage-type dynamo-electric machine has a rotor and a stator. The rotor has: a rotor shaft; a rotor core (12) fixed to the rotor shaft and provided with axial through-holes formed so as to be spaced apart from each other in the circumferential direction; a plurality of rotor bars (13) provided near the radial surfaces of the rotor core (12) so as to fill the spaces in the axial through-holes (50) in which the radially distal sections (50b) thereof are left unfilled, both lateral end sections of the rotor core being electrically connected to each other; and two annular short-circuit rings in the outer sections on both axial sides of the rotor core (12), the two annular short-circuit rings being electrically connected to both end sections of the plurality of rotor bars (13). The stator has a stator core and a stator coil.
