Abstract:
Provided is a calcined object of zirconia and/or a sintered object of zirconia, the sintered object being able to look akin to natural teeth and having light-transmitting properties and a color tone gradation and the calcined object giving such sintered object. The sintered object and the calcined object have warped little although having undergone a heat treatment, i.e., sintering or calcination. The sintered object is a sintered object of zirconia which was (i) one including zirconia containing a stabilizing element or (ii) one including both zirconia containing a stabilizing element and zirconia containing a coloring element.
The sintered object has three or more regions as superposed layers, wherein adjoining two of the regions differ from each other in stabilizing-element content and/or coloring-element content and the difference between the stabilizing-element content in a first region among the superposed regions, which lies at one end, and the stabilizing-element content in a second region, which lies at the other end, is 2.0 mol% or less.
