Abstract:
Provided is a calcium carbonate filler for resins, which has uniform particles, has high dispersibility and thermal stability, and particularly has excellent smoothness, release properties, and shedding resistance, etc., and is useful as an anti-blocking material. The calcium carbonate filler for resins is characterized by comprising calcium carbonate particles, and satisfying formulas (a)-(e) ((a): 1.0≤Sw≤12.0 (m2/g), (b): 0.1≤Dx≤5.0 (μm), (c): 0.1≤Dy≤ 5.0 (μm), (d): 0.8≤Dy/Dx=≤3.5, (e): 0.1≤Tw≤0.8 (wt%), Sw: a BET specific surface area (m2/g) measured using a BET specific surface area measuring device, Dx: a primary particle diameter (μm) calculated from the BET specific surface area Sw and represented by calculation formula = 6/(2.7·Sw), Dy: a 50% diameter (μm) accumulated, starting with particles having the smallest volume particle size, in a volume particle size distribution actually measured using a laser diffraction particle size distribution measuring device, and Tw: a thermal reduction (wt%) at 100-300°C measured using a differential thermal balance device).
