Abstract:
In response to a query, a processor unit executes first processes from among join processes including first processes and second processes which are executed sequentially. The processor unit transmits one or more commands for executing a portion of the second processes from among the join processes to one or more accelerators that read data from one or more storage media which store databases including a plurality of database tables (DB tables), and receives local process execution results from each of the one or more accelerators. For each of the one or more accelerators, the local processes are processes, from among the abovementioned portion of second processes, which are performed according to the received commands. The processor unit executes the remaining processes of the second processes on the basis of the execution results from the one or more accelerators, and returns query results on the basis of the execution results of the remaining processes.
