Abstract:
Information acquisition units 11-1, 11-2 (11-2a) acquire peripheral object information, and information processing units 12-1, 12-2 (12-2a) generate point group data pertaining to feature points of a peripheral object on the basis of the peripheral object information. A weight setting unit 13 sets weights corresponding to states of the peripheral object and the information acquisition units at the time of the acquisition of the peripheral object information. A calibration processing unit 15 uses the point group data, the weights, and an external parameter stored in a parameter storage unit 14 to calculate, on the basis of a cost indicating an error of the external parameter, a new external parameter in which the error is minimized. A parameter update unit 16 updates the external parameter stored in the parameter storage unit 14 with the new calculated external parameter. Because a highly accurate external parameter is stored in the parameter storage unit 14, calibration can be carried out stably.
