Abstract:
Provided are a novel calixarene derivative and a novel calixarene-based composite material for sensitive material. The novel calixarene derivative and the novel calixarene-based composite material can selectively absorb VOCs having specific functional groups such as ketone molecules. Also provided are a sensor element and a sensor which are made using the calixarene derivative or the calixarene-based composite material. A calixarene derivative represented by the chemical formula 1 [wherein m is an integer of 4 to 8; Xs are each a C1-10 chain hydrocarbon group; and Rs are one or more kinds of groups selected from among C1-20 alkyl groups, and C1-20 hydrocarbon groups to which at least one kind of functional groups selected from among ester group, carboxyl, cyano, and amido are bonded, with the proviso that X and/or R has a double bond at the terminal].
