Abstract:
A call stack acquiring device (10) reproduces from a memory dump a memory space of a process belonging to a thread for which a call stack is to be created. The call stack acquiring device (10) then acquires register information of the thread, stored in a memory by an OS, from a virtual memory space, thereby acquiring an execution context of the thread. Further, the call stack acquiring device (10) acquires, from the acquired execution context, the current stack position and functions currently being executed. The call stack acquiring device (10) then traces a return address in the stack of the sequence of functions that are the callers of the functions currently being executed, from metadata of an executable file of a process including the thread, to acquire the call stack.
