An automatic chemical feed device automatically feeding chemical contained in a chemical container with a manual pump mechanism by detecting the operating action of a user with a sensor to operate a pump drive mechanism, the pump drive mechanism comprising a cam device having a cam plate driven by a motor and a cam follower member performing reciprocating linear motion in conjunction with the rotating motion of the cam plate, wherein a specified portion at the peripheral edge of the cam plate is formed with a spiral curve specified by an equation $g(t)= a(4x)$g(u)$g(t) is radius vector, $g(u) is declination, and a is constant) in two-dimensional polar coordinates having an origin at the rotating center of the cam plate, whereby, because such a cam device capable of maintaining the moving speed of the linear motion at a constant when the rotating motion is converted to the linear motion is assembled, the status of delivery of chemical during the period of chemical delivery can be uniformed and stabilized.
