Abstract:
In recent years there have been problems with the durability and wear resistance of cam devices, when machining high-strength materials such as high-tensile steel which are often used in automotive panels; hence, the purpose of the present invention is to provide a cam device which improves durability and wear resistance. The present invention is a cam device which is equipped with a sliding material (2b(3f,3g,4b)) which has: a base (2e(3i,4e)) comprising a brass casting alloy; and a Cr-Fe-Si intermetallic compound (2f(3j,4f)) which is contained in the base (2e(3i,4e)) and has a nanoindentation hardness in a region where the Cr-Fe-Si intermetallic compound (2f(3j,4f)) is exposed of 20-28 GPa, inclusive.
