Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/1994/020250
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
A cam shaft manufacturing method characterized in that the portion of a work to be subject to a small cutting with a cam shaft miller and to a low level of variation is cut by a uniform load cutting method, and in that the portion of a work to be subjected to a greatly increasing cutting is cut with a feed rate reduced at a point which is a predetermined range short of a cutting quantity increase starting point. This enables the occurrence of sudden load variation, which is ascribed to the variations of dimensions of a work, to be minimized, and the occurrence of non-steady sounds to be prevented.
