Abstract:
The present invention provides a cam shaft that suppresses increases in the number of components and the number of places to be processed, can prevent sliding surfaces, which are each part of an outer circumferential surface of an outer shaft and along which inner cams rotate, from being scratched, and can prevent the occurrence of deformation in the entirety of the cam shaft after the final assembly. A cam shaft 1 is characterized in that inner cams 40 are installed from a radial direction of an outer shaft 10 and fixed to an inner shaft 30 by pins 51 that are inserted into the inner cams 40 in cam surfaces of the inner cams 40 from a radial direction of the outer shaft 10.
