Abstract:
The present invention increases the speed at which an interchangeable lens operates. This interchangeable lens (20), which can be removably mounted to a camera body (1), contains a communication-controlling microcontroller (30), a lens-driving circuit (32), a lens-driving actuator (33), and the like. A body-side microcontroller (2) in the camera body (1) and the communication-controlling microcontroller (30) in the interchangeable lens (20) are connected to and can communicate with each other. Also, lines (L11, L12, and L13) that allow the lens-driving circuit (32) to communicate directly with the body-side microcontroller (2) are provided. Since commands from the body-side microcontroller (2) are inputted directly to the lens-driving circuit (32), the lens-driving circuit (32) can be controlled directly, allowing the interchangeable lens (20) to be controlled at high speed.
