Abstract:
In order to transmit and receive image data obtained by capturing an image by a camera with emphasis placed on real time performance in a camera image display system, the present invention comprises an image division device (14) which divides each whole image (P) captured by a camera unit (12) into a plurality of portions to obtain divided images (p), an encoding device (16) which converts each of the divided images (p) divided by the image division device (14) into a JPEG format divided image (p), and a radio transmission device (17) which transmits the JPEG format divided image (p) by radio, and by performing JPEG conversion and transmission in units of the divided images (p), only some of the divided images (p) can be displayed if transmission/reception of said some of the divided images (p) succeeded, and consequently the real time performance of display of an image on an image display device (61) is greatly improved compared to the prior art.
