Abstract:
The present invention provides a camera initial positon setting method, a camera, and a camera system, with which the camera can be moved to an auto-tracking state quickly and without a wasteful pan/tilt operation when the camera is reset. In one embodiment of the present invention, when a camera reset is received a pan motor and a tilt motor in a pan/tilt mechanism are rotated to their respective preset first rotation direction, temporarily moving the pan/tilt mechanism to a reference pan positon and a reference tilt position. Next, the pan motor and the tilt motor are rotated in a second rotation direction opposite the first rotation direction, thereby moving the pan/tilt mechanism toward an initial pan position and an initial tilt position. The movement of the pan/tilt mechanism to the initial pan/tilt position is used to detect a photographic subject used for auto-tracking, and when the photographic subject is detected, the camera moves to the auto-tracking state.
