Abstract:
Provided is a camera module that ensures breathability within an image pickup unit of the camera module and that allows failures (speck failures) of the image pickup element caused by deposition of foreign particles to be reduced. In the camera module the interior space of which is formed by a wiring board, a cover body (36) and a transparent plate (38), a breathing groove (45), which extends from the interior space to the outside of the interior space, and a recess (46), which branches from the breathing groove (45), are formed between an adhesion surface of the cover body (36) and an adhesion surface of the transparent plate (38).
