Abstract:
A camera system and method of controlling the camera system, which, when image blurring
correction devices are integrated in a camera body and interchangeable lens,
operate the devices normally. The camera system (1) has the camera body (3) and
the interchangeable lens (2) removably attachable to the camera body (3). The
camera body (3) has an imaging section (71), a shake detection section (30) for
the camera body, an image blurring correction section (76) for the camera body,
and a body microcomputer (12) for controlling operation of the imaging section
(71), the shake detection section (30), and the image blurring correction section
(76). The interchangeable lens (2) has a shake detection section (21), an image
blurring correction section (83), and a lens microcomputer (20) for controlling
operation of the shake detection section (21) and the image blurring correction
section (83). The body microcomputer (12) selects either of the shake detection
sections (30, 21) for the camera body and lens, activates the selected shake detection
section, and stops the other shake detection section.
