Abstract:

This camera system (1) is provided with a plurality of camera modules (3-6) for capturing images of the surroundings of a vehicle (2), the camera images captured by the plurality of camera modules being outputted, and the images of the vehicle surroundings obtained by synthesizing the individual images being displayed on a display means (7) inside the vehicle, wherein the plurality of camera modules (3-6) are provided with object recognition units (3j-6j) for performing object recognition processing on the basis of the images captured by each camera module (3-6), and communication units (3g-6g) for communicating via a vehicle network (9) provided to the vehicle (2). The communication units (3g-6g) are configured to output, to the vehicle network (9), coordinate information for the recognition objects (12) recognized by each of the object recognition units (3j-6j).
