Abstract:
The present invention detects an optical axis misalignment of a camera mounted to a vehicle at reduced cost. A camera system (38), which can be disposed on a vehicle body (2) of a vehicle (1), comprises: a camera (10) capable of capturing a video; a light beam irradiation device (20) which irradiates a light beam; and a detection circuit (43) which detects the optical trajectory of a light beam captured by the camera (10), and determines a mounting misalignment of the camera (10) on the basis of the optical trajectory. If the size of the optical trajectory is smaller than a predetermined threshold value, the detection circuit (43) does not perform outputting a mounting misalignment determination.
