Abstract:
[Problem] To provide a camera and a system whereby an object can be detected in any portion in an image that has been captured and generated. [Solution] The present invention comprises a surveillance camera 110 and an information terminal 120 that can communicate with the surveillance camera 110. The information terminal 120 is provided with a designation unit 22 that designates, for the surveillance camera 110, a detection area to detect a person P in a captured area image which has been acquired from the surveillance camera 110. The surveillance camera 110 is provided with a detection unit 13 that detects an object in the detection area in the generated image, and a transmission unit 14 that transmits, to another device, a notification indicating that the object has been detected.
