Abstract:
Provided is a drive recorder and a camera unit that ensures the reception characteristics of a GPS antenna by maintaining a distance between a windshield and the GPS antenna and can be easily attached to a vehicle such that the wiring is inconspicuous. A camera unit (2) is separated from the main body (1) of the drive recorder and sends image data to the main body (1). The camera unit (2) is provided with: a case (5); a GPS antenna (7) disposed inside of the case (5); and a protruding section (9) that protrudes from the upper surface of the case (5) and has a leading end (9a) that is attached to the windshield (8) of a vehicle.
